Celeste On The Horizon as Team Nero Bianchi Dawns

National Road Series team Nero Racing formally announce their 2019 title sponsor, Bianchi.

“We are very honoured and feel extremely privileged to be associated with such a world leading and iconic company. With the Reparto Corse (Racing Department) leading the way with performance development we believe these bikes give us a performance advantage on the road and be a perfect fit for the identity and ethos of the team”

Director of Operations Luke Manion said at the team launch in Sydney.

Building on their commitment in 2018, Shimano Australia have shown further confidence in the 3rd year squad, upgrading their assistance by providing on bike and off bike support for the team. This relationship will mean the squad’s Bianchi XR4’s will once again be complemented with industry leading race componentry.

Riders themselves will once again be wearing Nero Racing apparel. “We are really proud of this kit, we feel it fits the Bianchi aesthetic and is a real evolution in design and comfort.”

Team Nero Bianchi also continues to be the official National Road Series squad of the Sydney Uni Velo Club as well -

“The link between our club and racing at the elite level is something we hold dear”

said SUVelo President Andrew Duggan.

“We are inspired by what the team has achieved and are excited to see what 2019 holds”.

APTIUM Financial Services, a Sydney based financial advice firm, AtheletesGel who are the Australian and world leading sports ointment company and the Sony Australia CyberShot team round out a group of partners and supporters that share Team Nero Bianchi’s passion and ideals.

The squad itself has been bolstered by key signings including Jay Vine, Jordan Louis, Sam Hill, Bentley Olden and Nero Coaching’s own Jesse Coyle.

“The squad that has been assembled gives us all confidence that we are in a great position to continue making waves” said Coyle when asked about the squads goals for 2019. He went on to say “We want to be competitive at everything from our first UCI race in New Zealand next month, though to local club criteriums”.

Team Nero Bianchi will debut at the Australian Road Championship in Ballarat showing it’s diverse range of riders competing in races across the U19, Para, U23, and Elite Championships.

The full team squad of riders and staff are listed on their website.
