The final day of the Championships, and all those late night purchases on Bicycle and Triathlon market were finally put to good use with the Time Trial Championships.
A flat, short 22.5km out and back towards Orange airport would determine the medals, and with Moosh Brown criterium win, all the pressure was on Christopher Miller to complete the final leg of the Masters #grandslam for Nero Racing.
Perfect condition on the fast course greeted the riders, so it was not so much a matter of measuring your effort as making sure you got every last drop of energy out in the 30 odd minute effort.
With Coach Daniel Van Der Laan voice ringing in his ears ("don't suck Miller") and Moosh's "you better win Miller" to spur him on, Chris set the fastest time in MMAS2 by a full minute (30:26), with Tai Huynh (31:27) and Andrew Finlayson (31:46) rounding out the podium.
Special mention to SUVelo's Rowan Lean who missed a podium spot by 1 second and @matt rozyn who had an unfortunate mechanical.
Chris time was the 3rd fastest on the day with @peter Milostic (29:06) proving he still has some fight left in those MMAS3 legs.
With the Time Trial run and won then, the Nero Racing #teamedition lads completed a clean sweep of the MMAS2 division, something the whole squad and supporters can be very proud of.
With the shortage of Road Racing in this State, these race events are even more important, and we must thanks @cyclingnsw and the @orange cycling club for putting on a super successful weekend of racing ... maybe next year a General Classification that combines the 3 disciplines could be an option.
